Ancient Landing

 Descending with the sun,

Over the vast, Egyptian desert.
Gold rays dance on my skin through my airplane window-
The Nile weaves a song along the earth below.

Colors fading quickly,
As each moment passes-
Nearly on this ancient soil.

There is a stillness in the air
Which is void of clouds-
The land seems neverending,
And the night approaches with welcoming arms-

I feel held in this moment,
The way She holds me,
A piece of her surrounds me in a way so deep, I am at a loss of words.

Tears well in my emerald eyes with gratitude, excitement, and peace-

For the love of this land holds me,
Before I am able to dance barefoot in the dust-
And kiss the ancient Goddesses,
That guide me.

Soul to Soul

 At the end of every day when I close my eyes,

And at the start of every morning when I open them,

You are there.

You are my first thought, 

You are my last thought, 

You are my lifetimes of thoughts.

You are my subconscious thoughts,

And my dream thoughts-

You are all encompassing-

My love for you, runs deeper than any sea-

Further than any galaxy,

And beyond a single lifetime-

You are the piece of my soul that I've been searching for,

And now I am whole. 

Every quirky little idiosyncrasy,

Every question that digs deeper,

And every moment where patience is unearthed,

You are there,

With me,

Hand in hand,

Hear to heart,

Soul to soul.
