Drifting Bliss

 Inhale

Exhale

Inhale

Exhale

My head on your chest,

Rising and falling with the rhythm of your slowing breath,

Your body relaxed with your arms around me,

I hear your heartbeat steady and strong,

"Give me a kiss,"

You demand in a soft tone and loving way,

Knowing it is just one more kiss that you crave before your drift into dreamland.

I oblige.

The passion encompassed in each kiss, unlike any other.

My head back on your chest,

You gently rub my back and shoulder until you finally drift to sleep-

Though I am awake for what feels like hours after you're exploring a different realm.

I thank the Universe for this moment,

All moments that preceded,

And all moments to come.

I finally drift too,

Only to find you in my dreams-

Doing all of the things we've said we'd do.

Time passes,

The moon kisses us as we sleep entangled in one another's arms

For the entirity of the night,

As always.

And when I wake, I gently trace your collarbone,

Your shoulders, your chest,

Your arms, your hips,

And the inside of your thighs-

You subconciously spread your legs a little more,

As your body absorbs my touch.

Slowly you begin to smile and stir,

Words begin to bounce between our lips,

Morning kisses and coffee to follow-

Our mornings are bliss.

Watching you come to life as the hours pass,

Is truly a sight to see-

Captivating and invigorating.
