Becoming

Every day you surprise me,

I am enamored by your love, your beauty, your soul, your fiery energy. 

Dreaming big with you,

Holds anticipation- 

Like, I've found the person I want to experience all things big and small with. 

It is wild how the universe quietly plots for two souls to meet at the perfect time.

Not a moment sooner,

Not a moment later-

Divine timing is free from all interference.

I truly believe and trust,

That all things are unfolding exactly as they must.

Yesterday you told me that you can't wait to hear our daughter call me "mommy" - that you had to hear it...

My heart melted into a puddle.

We talked more about our future- narrowed down some engagement ring ideas, talked about the type and size of wedding we would have, places we'd want to live, how our parents would make amazing grandparents,  and how we both can't wait for you to meet my family... 

I know they'll love you,

The day you become part of my family will be one of the happiest days of my life.

The fact that neither of us have felt this pull before simply proves that everything has brought us to one another,

That we are here, now, and this is it.

We talk about literally everything- 

Big, small, good, bad, easy to talk about and uncomfortable-

And we navigate with such grace, understanding and compassion-

It is so fucking beautiful-

This love and respect we share for one another.
