Empty Handed

And when your world crumbles in, you'll wish that she held you like she used to... The way she held you before you told her to stop.
She tried to save you when your head was barely above water, to prevent your body from drowning
She reached for your hand, but your stubborn nature left her empty handed.
She cried and her tears filled the sea with specs more of saltwater,
So you blamed Her.
She just loved you like the sun loves the moon,
And like the flowers love the sun.
She adored you.
But you left her empty handed,
Empty hearted.
She cried for you, as your heart was proven stone
But you screamed out hurtful words to ease your own pain at the expense of hers.
She was turning into a stone cold statue at your glare...
But you left her empty handed.

She took one last breath in attempt to grasp for your hand, before you went under
You looked into her pale eyes, stone face and laughed.
Inhaling the saltwater you drowned and
She turned to stone
You left her empty handed
